Ahead of the anniversary of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY), a number of preparations towards the top event has been continued to be prepared. More or less since October, a series of dies activities have taken place as the activities related to academics, culture to sports. It continues until it will hold the highlight which is now being prepared.

It is planned that the top event will be held at UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta on Tuesday (12/16/2019). One of the agendas carried out by UPN Veterans is hearings with the Governor of DIY, Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X. The Chancellor of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta, Mohammad Irhas Effendi along with several other UPN staff visited Kepatihan on Thursday (12/12/2019) morning.

In the hearing, there will be three points being discussed, including those related to UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta assets, invitation to the Anniversary event, and plans to launch a technology system at UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta to support the university.

Sri Sultan HB X is the chairman of the UPN Veterans Yogyakarta consideration board. The purpose of this hearing is to follow up several systems.

"The first thing is the position Ngarso Dalem as our consideration board. We of course consult the follow-up of the results of the consideration board meeting", Irhas said when being met at Kepatihan, Thursday (12/12/2019).

In the previous meeting, Irhas said there was a direction from the Governor of DIY related to the completion of the UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta assets with the ministry then it related to the completion of HR.

"Alhamdulillah, we have progressed in coordination with the defense ministry", he added.

Further, in this meeting UPN "Veterans" Yogyakarta also conveyed the programs of the anniversary whose the highlight of which will be held on December 16, 2019.

"We hope Ngarsa Dalem is willing to deliver his remarks with the theme of our dies and of course also the position of Jogja. So, the theme of our dies is a synergy of the new paradigm of tri dharma and defending the country to create the superior human resources in the industrial revolution 4.0 era. It is because Jogja also has an important role. We hope that Ngarso Dalem can deliver remarks regarding the role of Jogja in supporting national defense and higher education", concluded Irhas.

The Chancellor of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta said that the theme was chosen because the developing era of digitalization needs new challenges and responses from tri darma activities of universities. Defending the country is a value carried by UPN "Veterans" Yogyakarta.

"So, we hope that the synergy of these two things can create the superior human resources as well as strong Indonesian character," he said.

Regarding the industrial revolution 4.0 in accordance with the theme of the anniversary of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta, the plan will also be to launch an integrated information system at UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta. Irhas hopes that through this it will be able to simplify the regulatory system and also matters related to the internal administration in UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta.

"This is one of the roles of IT-based support system so they are systems that are created to accelerate the decision making" he concluded.
